Bio: I got tired of the TX attitude and heat, so I came here to one of the prettiest states in the country. I am working for an exciting company and so far I enjoy it immensely. Only been here a short while still trying to get my bearings but I look forward to doing some hiking, maybe some camping and taking in the local attractions. I really hope to spend a few long weekends in D.C. going to the Smithsonian and other places of interest. As far as me, I guess I'm doing the midlife crisis thing, pretty much threw away my old life and looking to start fresh (is that possible?). I'm hoping that hiking and a positive outlook will help me get into better shape and start enjoying life again. I like movies, music, biking, hiking (at least as much as my knee will allow), playing cards and board games and surfing the net. I like learning new things (explains surfing the net) thusly I enjoy watching the discovery and science channels. I'm a marine biologist by education but a programmer by trade (if you wonder how I got from point A to point B then you'll just have to ask). I'm (sometimes brutally) honest and fairly easy going. I tend to be quiet at first (working on that) but I have a (some say twisted) sense of humor and believe that laughter is one of the things that makes us human. Once I become comfortable I become more of a talker but I'm always a good listener. I'm at a point in my life where I'd like to acquire some new friends and experience new things, guess that goes along with the starting over thing.
